Lonely prince from Russia
Enough playing. it’s bedtime
About the project
They say that when we leave home, we take our gods with us. But what if we've also brought our demons?
This installation is about the deep exhaustion that kicks in after you've been playing a frantic game with the unknown. When someone finds themselves in a new place, throwing themselves into creating, having fun – they're playing. They think it's their game, their will. But actually, they're just a piece in a bigger game, one played by ancient forces they've stumbled upon. Forces like Biçura, a playful spirit who stirs up chaos, and Убыр, who drains your life force.
The prize in this game isn't a happy life, but a transformation. Into a log.
"Көт" is a sentence. Wait for sleep. Wait for healing. Wait for the game to continue.
Lie down next to the log. Just lie. At least five minutes.
About the artist
Lonely prince from Russia is an artist who creates situations for interaction and dialogue about the destruction of everything we hold dear. In his installations, he explores themes of forced displacement, the fragility of connections, and confrontation with the unknown. His works often place strangers in tight spaces. By combining melancholy and physical closeness in his projects, the artist invites viewers to become co-conspirators, find random fellow travelers, and collectively experience a shared sense of vulnerability.
