Endless Transitus, 2024 Photo performance Forced to leave Russia for political reasons, I experienced social and psychological death. A classic of Russian performance art is gone; before you stands a person without status, even without a name (in Georgia, it’s dangerous to have one) – let’s say, for now, “Mama Deprerama.” The performance reflects the author's presence in a liminal space, the space of symbolic death. At first, it feels cozy and warm, like a mother's womb, but gradually it becomes more and more cramped. And I increasingly ask myself – will I be able to get out? Do I even want to? Or is Georgia my endless transit? *For the shoot, I used my real migrants’ bag, in which my belongings were sent to me from Russia.
