“Healing the Space by the Mtkvari River” is an artistic intervention at the intersection of land art and performance activism, aimed at restoring the lost connection between the urban river and human presence.
Once a vital artery of the city, the Mtkvari (Kura) River is now buried under traffic noise, confined by concrete banks, and estranged from the everyday experience of its citizens.
This project is not merely an aesthetic statement but a ritual of restoring voice to a forgotten river — an attempt to awaken collective responsibility for the natural forces woven into the urban fabric.
Through a series of symbolic acts and the creation of ritual artifacts, the project offers a renewed way of relating to the river, reclaiming its status as a sacred place of power.
