The color is gone and you have not noticed
About the project
Happiness is to live a bright and rich life, full of events, joys, surprises, discoveries. To wake up in the morning and feel it flowing through your veins and pulsing around you.

But what if when you open your eyes you feel nothing? Even after a cup of coffee. What if a day = just a stretch of time, with a beginning and an end, with a watery, everyday surface in between. Routine.

You can look back and remember that there were colors in life, but they've faded, they're gone from the canvas of life.
About the artist
oksana oleksik is a textile artist. She lives and works in Tbilisi. Her main technique is weaving and also uses other techniques to experiment with form and texture.

Her practice is an exploration of loss and how people cope with it. Emigration, war and the political situation have encouraged her to work on a project to create a register of loss. Through the prism of her own experience, she creates mirrors that numb the feeling of loneliness.

oksana oleksik has participated in several group exhibitions. Artworks are in private collections in Russia, Sweden and Germany.
