In My World
About the project
In my world, there’s an envelope, a postage stamp, a pen, paper, a letter. In my world, there’s a lock of hair inside the envelope, a kiss on the paper, and the scent of a lover.
About the artist
Orhan Özçalık began his studies at the Department of Philosophy, Hacettepe University, in 1982, where he also joined the mountaineering club and, in 1984, became a mountaineering guide. He discovered sculpture in 1989 and attended lectures by Remzi Savaş and Mete Demirbaş. In 1999, he started building the Helikon Art Center, which opened in 2010. He continues to work there on sculpture and educational programs and is the founder of the Helikon Contemporary Art Association.
