QUIET DAMAGE
About the project
Quiet Damage is about memory and the marks that stay with us. I think of fabric as something similar to skin. Like our skin, it keeps the marks of what we experience, both inside and outside. The soot, burn marks, and small holes show these traces. I am interested not in the moment of damage, but in what comes after. Like the human body, the fabric continues to exist, carrying the memory of what has changed it.
About the artist
Multidisciplinary artist working with textiles, installation, and material transformation, including salt, mirror surfaces, and drip-dyeing systems.
In her practice, she explores the “architecture of tension” — moments where strict structure meets the unpredictability of the material and the process of decay.
