For us, jam is a form of communication. Different people with different socio-cultural backgrounds and different life experiences came together and found a common ground through joint musical improvisation. Jam has become a therapy for all of us in these difficult times.

Subject Jam started as a platform based at Subject Bar (Almaty, Kazakhstan). We host open jams, aimed to bring together local artists and everyone interested in creating electronic music, who is passionate about sound synthesis. We jam together, learn together and gain experience in making and performing live electronic music together.

Over time, a group of enthusiasts formed. We call it Subject Jam Orchestra.
