When does life end and death begin? Often, we don’t choose when our path will end, and even more so, we don’t choose how it will begin. I work with sound because it is the most affective medium I’ve engaged with in my artistic practice. For this work, I gathered a choir. For the performance *"God is when people sing together"*, the musical score is created by the performers based on randomness (an aleatoric compositional method), where they throw dice. We don’t know if we will die tomorrow, or if those we love will die tomorrow. That’s why we sing together, celebrate life, and roll the dice. Hoping that tomorrow we won’t face tragedy.
